Yep, that means Z. I think I’m not the only challenge participant that doesn’t have the energy to write another blog post after a whole month-full of alphabetical posts. And probably, it won’t come as a huge surprise that I’m going to take a few days off from blogging to focus on some other stuff. Moving. Kids. Family. Getting spiders and wasps out of the camper so I can write.
So, see you in a few days! 🙂
We’re in debt now.
But it’s a pretty cool feeling. Mid-century restoration, here we go!
Well, actually, I should probably focus on getting us moved in, first. And then get our beloved farm all spiffed up and ready for her next renter. And then maybe get back to some writing so I can fund the whole restoration thing. 🙂
That’s right. I’m X-ing things off my to-do list today:
Quick blog post? X-ed.
Put gas in the car and air in the tires? X-ed.
Work hard on actual day job workity-work-work-work stuff? X-ed.
Get a big fat certified check and virtually empty my bank account? X-ed.
Wrangle anxiety down to a level where I can get really excited to be a homeowner again? X-ed.
Happy Tuesday, all. I hope your day is fantastic.
After an amazing Saturday filled with the friendship and the fellowship of like-minded romance writer nerds (FYI, Rita Clay Estrada is an incredible person), I came to work today expecting to hear at some point whether we were cleared to close on the house we’re buying or if there would be more conditions to fulfill, first. Well, we did find out we were cleared to close. And immediately after, found out we’re closing tomorrow. AGH!
We’ve been working on our credit forever. Talking about moving. Looking at houses. Then, we find one and wait to see if we can still actually get it and the bank won’t change their minds after preapproving us because they found out somehow that I took pop cans back to the store last week to get a gallon of milk and they think we’re still poor.
I had the money, I swear! I just needed to take pop cans back anyway…
And now we’re moving moving. Like, this weekend. It’s a little surreal right now.
So, wow. Happy Monday all! Wish some sanity my way, if you get a chance, and I’d be happy to reciprocate. 🙂
If all goes as planned, here’s the view I’ll have this weekend:
View from the deck at the Bay Pointe Inn.
The Bay Pointe Inn is this year’s locale for my local Romance Writers of America chapter’s annual retreat–the Mid-Michigan RWA will be celebrating 30 years! I’ve only been a part of the group for two of those 30, but what an amazing bunch of women. I’m proud to be a part of such a kick-ass bunch of writerly gals.
Hope your weekend is just as awesome!
That’s what my Boy Scout is going to need this weekend, I think. This guy, here?
He’s going to Springfield, IL with his Boy Scout troop. For an almost-11-year-old, first-year Boy Scout, heading off for a weekend, crossing state lines and driving five hours to go rub elbows with 10,000 other Scouts is apparently a pretty sweet undertaking. Hopefully the 90% chance of rain lurking in the forecast is overestimated.
Meanwhile, momma will worry. 🙂
No time to post – my deadline‘s too close! Happy Thursday, all!
